Access Point (AP)
4 products
WiFi access points in Nepal for offices, hotels, schools and large homes. An access point is fixed to the ceiling or wall and connects to your network by cable, giving strong WiFi where a single router does not reach. We carry TP-Link Omada ceiling mount models: the EAP245, an AC1750 dual-band WiFi 5 access point with Gigabit ports, MU-MIMO and Omada Mesh, rated for 220+ clients; and the EAP115, a 300Mbps 2.4GHz access point for smaller rooms.
Both take power over the network cable (PoE: 802.3at for the EAP245, 802.3af for the EAP115), so you only run one cable to each. Several Omada access points can be managed together, with seamless roaming, from an Omada controller such as the OC200. Genuine with warranty from Proud Nepal IT Suppliers, an authorized supplier of TP-Link. Delivered all over Nepal, usually the same day inside Kathmandu Valley, or from our store at Putalisadak, Kathmandu.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between an access point and a router?
A router connects to the internet and runs the network; an access point only adds WiFi to an existing wired network. Offices use one router and several access points on the ceiling, all on the same network, so people stay connected while they move around.
EAP245 or EAP115: which one should I choose?
The EAP245 for most offices. It is dual-band AC1750 (1300Mbps on 5GHz plus 450Mbps on 2.4GHz) with Gigabit ports, covers up to about 140 square metres and handles 220+ clients. The EAP115 is a 300Mbps 2.4GHz-only access point with a 10/100 port, for a small room or light use.
How do I power a ceiling access point?
Through the network cable, with PoE. The EAP245 takes 802.3at PoE or 48V passive PoE (adapter included); the EAP115 takes 802.3af PoE. A PoE switch or PoE injector at the other end of the cable supplies the power, so no socket is needed on the ceiling.
Do I need an Omada controller?
Not for one access point, which can be set up through the Omada app or web page. For several access points, an Omada controller (the OC200 hardware controller, the Omada software controller or Omada cloud) lets you manage them together with seamless roaming, guest portals and one WiFi name across the building.
